I was born in Oldbury in the West Midlands on June 18th 1959.
I have basically lived there ever since. Not the most exciting town in the world. Its famous for two things.
Frank Skinner and the bloke who wrote "It's a long way to Tipperary". Don't get blaming me for either.
My wife was also a resident of Oldbury. We married on May 31st 1980. We have three great kids, Adam, Scott &
Chloë. In Feb 2009 Adam and his partner Stacey, presented us with our first Grandson Jayden who is the shining light
in my life. The other love of my life is Walsall FC and I am happy to say that both my lads are
Saddlers too. At least we can never be accused of being Glory Hunters!

FMS And Living With depression
One of the negatives in my life at the moment
is the illness that envelopes my wife. For the past few years she has been suffering with FMS.
This is a disease that has different affects on different people. With my wife it has shown itself through, depression, memory
loss, unbelievable fatigue (she sleeps for up to 18 hours a day, every day) and, has it takes a greater hold, awful pains
in the arms and legs. The many medicines that she has to take have taken away the girl I have known for most of my life. Its
left an emotionless shell. I will be doing events during the coming
year to raise money for the FMAUK charity.
People who shrug off depression with a pull yourself together attitude really ought
to be shot! Living with someone with depression is very hard and the love and support I give to Lol is often cast aside because
she can't see how anyone can care.
My
lovely friend Kaz has also suffered from a similar depression and channelled a lot of her thoughts into some wonderful poetry.
The one to the right is called My Rock and deals with her thoughts on not being able to accept the love and support
of her family.

My Rock
