Home Is Where The Dark Is

My venture into the world of paranormal investigations started with an invite from a friend of mine to join her on an investigation at Plas Teg in North Wales. To be honest at that time I was not overly bothered about the investigation side of things. I was already viewing Most Haunted as a programme done more for entertainment than a serious thing. The idea that night was for it to be more of a social event. The real truth is that I thoroughly enjoyed my night there and was involved in one of the major incidents of the evening where one of the female participants along with my eldest son were heavily affected by the presence of spirits that I was fully in tune with.

It wasn't long after that I decided to have another bash at an investigation. This time it was to be at the infamous Derby Gaol. On that evening we were joined by Ian Lawman and Phil Wyman and it was certainly fun working alongside those guys.
I joined up with those guys again on a visit to RAF Hemswell a few weeks later and by now I was certainly getting the bug.
I was soon attending investigations on a regular basis and visited such venues as The Golden Fleece in York and undertook my first visit of many visits to The Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire. The Ram Inn still ranks as the most awesome place I've visited and the sight of my 18 year old son being thrown across the barn by unseen hands is still my most frightening moment by far.

In April 2005 I travelled north to Hartlepool to take part in the Headland Tour a ghost walk and investigation run by Ralph Keeton. Ralph has appeared on TV many times including Most Haunted.  By the end of my visit Ralph had invited me to join the Exorcisms.Co.UK team. That was very much a turning point as I was now the person helping to run the events.
I was also now beginning to do work for local, midland based paranormal groups and was also invited to work for charities such as the Anthony Nolan Trust.
This work took me to places such as Dudley Castle, Tha Station Hotel and Alton Towers where I worked alongside Ian Shillito.
I am now called upon by several paranormal groups to work in various venues.

"When people come along on a paranormal event I truly believe that they must experience the evening.  I have attended events where the medium in charge basically did all the work during the evening. Where is the fun in that?
Any investigations I run or help run is a full hands on experience.  I believe in fully opening people up to spirit to enable them to enjoy their evening."
