About Me

I was born on June 18th 1959. The place of my birth was Oldbury Nr Birmingham England. I was born in the front room of my Nans house in Springfield Road, Oldbury isn't the most exciting town in the world. It was a highly industrial town at the heart of the black country. Times have changed dramatically and the big dirty factories have disappeared. Oldbury's most famous Son is Frank Skinner. I will leave you to say if that is good or bad!
My schooling was done at Moat Farm Junior and Infants in Oldbury itself. They seemed to do a good job and I got through what was the 11+ to get a place at Holly Lodge Grammar School. After that I did two years at West Park College, which was basically Holly Lodge's 6th form. I left there with a fair few O levels and an AEB in Environmental Studies. I soon put those to use and started packing pallets in a dairy. So OK it was the early day version of "Do You Want Fries With That?",
That was 1977 and it was in November of that year that I met the girl who went on to be my wife. Loraine is her name (aka Lol) and we married on May 31st 1980. Note how clever I was arranging the wedding after the regular football season but before the Euro Championships.
On September 5th 1986 the two became three on the birth of our first child Adam.
Nine years went by before the family grew anymore. Scott came along on October 2nd 1995. To finish the family unit Chloë Jade Samantha came along on August 16th 1999.
